Dental Implants

What are Dental implants?
  • Implant is that procedure which involves drilling a hole in jawbone in which false teeth (implants) are fitted; when the gum has healed an abutment is attached that actually holds the false tooth.
  • Implants are made of materials known as titanium.

Dental Implants

They are fixed and don’t involve any damage to the other teeth.
  • Healthy and Natural teeth:
Dental implant ensures the restoration of lost tooth and it looks feels, fits and off course
         working like a natural tooth.
Your face without teeth may appear sad and sunken because you may be embarrassed to smile.                    You may have difficulty in chew food. Dental implants can overcome both these issues.
  •  How to maintain your good teeth:
Ask your dentist on how to best maintain your teeth.

What are the Alternatives of Implants?
  • Removable dentures i.e  false teeth   It is just like plastic or metal frameworks that holds false teeth
  • A Bridge False teeth that are fixed onto your natural teeth but may involve filing of your teeth which is damaging for those teeth.

sensitivity after tooth whitening.
Whitening also does not work on ceramic or porcelain crowns or veneers. It can be performed in the dental surgery or also at home . Your dentist will take the photograph of your teeth and this will help your dentist to monitor the progress of treatment.Your dentist will analyse your diet in order to give advice regarding staining .
The dentist hygienist will clean your teeth by removing plaque and tartar that can cause the staining. Once this done the teeth whitening procedure started.
 Which method could be used?
There are two ways to make your teeth white, these are
Home  bleaching: the dentist will give you a weak bleach jelly for home use which is kept around the teeth by a tray specially made for you.
Laser tooth whitening : At the moment we are not offering this until guidance is clearer .
